You can perform your own eating detox everyday naturally. All it takes is some good food a good recipe book and the right detox plan to be successful. Of course eating fruit throughout the day will help cleanse but how can you perform a real eating detox and not starve yourself in the process? Good new is yes it can be done!
Do you want to experience, weight loss, detox cleansing and a healthy detox at the same time? We have listed what you need to do for a quick diet detox. This is only a guideline and you should certainly mix it up a bit so you don't grow board.

Eating Detox Introduction

The basic eating diet always requires that you consume raw food as much as possible and lost of water. This doesn't mean eating carrot sticks all day either, there are lots of foods we can eat that are not cooked so keep an open mind. Eating raw foods help the body get more all natural nutrients which have many anti-aging properties. It may also seem like you are eating all the time but the after all this is an eating detox and when done right will help you lose weight and feel great at the same time.

Eating Detox Plan

  • Start by preparing 2 meals for the morning and mid morning.
eating detox starter mealFor the first meal you will want to start with 100% Orange juice, a large banana and a bowl of raisin bran. If you are not a morning person at least get a glass of OJ into you. You need the OJ for energy and to replenish the body after fasting all night. The raisin bran will help your digestive tract purge the waste out while the banana supplies carbs and vitamin such as vitamin A, B1 and B2 to help you get going. 
The second meal has to be mid morning at least 1.5 hours before noon. For this meal you can start with an 8oz glass of 1% milk, 1/4 cup of nuts (Almonds, peanuts or mixed) with a whole wheat bagel (Toasted is always better) and a thin layer of light cream cheese. This will help to supply calories to get you through the afternoon. If you are a late riser you can eat later but just make sure that your last meal is eaten at least 6 hours before you go to sleep resulting in approximately 16 hours of fasting every day. This is the most important part of your eating detox because it gives the body enough time cleanse before it takes on more food.
  • Lunch can be just a salad so I have listed a great detox salad that I just love. The recipe is for two but can be eaten by anyone with a big appetite.Also include a cup of detox tea.
Detox SaladEating Detox Spinach Caesar Salad
1 large bunch spinach
1/2 c. pumpkin seeds, ground
1-2 garlic cloves, pressed
1/2 lemon, juiced
1/2 - 1 tsp. prepared Dijon mustard
2 Tbl olive oil (extra-virgin)
dash of Celtic sea salt
sprinkle of freshly ground white pepper

Rinse the spinach very well under running water, one leaf at a time. Make sure there is no soil or sand in the bottom part near the roots. Sand in your salad is not tasty! Once clean, spin the spinach leaves dry in a salad spinner and put into a large bowl. Tear or cut leaves into bite-size pieces.

Grind the pumpkin seeds. I like to use a kitchen utensil called a Salad-Shooter, or you can use a grinder. Add the ground seeds to the spinach and toss well. (The pumpkin seeds are a substitute for the Parmesan cheese used in conventional Caesar salad recipes.)

In a small bowl, blend 1 or 2 pressed cloves of garlic, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, olive oil, a sprinkle of white pepper and Celtic sea salt. Pour over the spinach and toss well. Serves 2. Best eaten when freshly made. - by Grace Lapetina
  • Dinner should be eaten before 3 or 4pm everyday depending on when you rise in the morning to ensure your body will get the full 16 hours of fasting every day. Along with any main course you should have at least one item of fruit and a detox tea.
Eating Detox Chow Mein
Detox Chow MeinOne of my favorite meals for dinner is chow mein and I found a better recipe then the one I usually use hope you like it.
1 T lecithin
1 T almond butter (these first two ingredients can be substituted for something else if you like--they help give it that oily "restaurant" feel.)
2 T Nama Shoyu
2 t Shaohsing rice wine (this has a 13.5% alcohol content, but the flavor is sooooo perfect, and I figure most of it is left uneaten in the dregs of the bowl.)
3/4 t onion powder
1/2 t powdered ginger
1/4 t garlic powder
1/4 t unheated salt, if desired
4 grinds of pepper

bean sprouts
a handful curly cabbage, cut thinly (gives it the characteristic chow mein look)
broccoli slaw (perfect noodle shape!)
one small or 1/2 medium zucchini (you can spiral cut it for noodles.  I don't have a spiral cutter yet, so I just make potato-peeler noodles.  Yum!)
3 small to med shiitakes, sliced thinly (you can cut off the stems if you wish)
5 white or criminy mushrooms, sliced
snow peas
red pepper, cut in thin strips
scallions or chives, cut into long pieces
lily bulb (optional)
Make the sauce in a large bowl, and toss the veggies in as you prepare them.  Place chow mein in bowls and let it sit for 20 minutes or so in a warm place to marinate (I put it in my oven with the pilot light.  It takes the edge off the cold).  You don't actually have to let it sit.  It wilts very quickly, giving it an amazingly authentic feel!
