Constipation is not at the top of the list of subject we speak about on a daily basis. Looking for help and some good sound advice and knowledge will go a long way to relieving the pain associated with it.

1. Eating processed food too quickly. We eat so quickly that our bodies have little time to digest the garbage we load in our bodies. If we had to eat mothers nagging vegetables then cramming it down would certainly not be good for us but it gets it over quicker.

Water not only flushes toxins but it helps produce the bulk needed to carry fecal matter through the system and out of the body. Drinking more water not only dilutes the urine promoting better health, but also helps to dilute food matter in the gut, thereby preventing it from sticking to the intestinal walls.

4. Eat more fruits, vegetables, and fiber. Leave the skins on fruit! Discover the hearty texture and flavor of grains like buckwheat, bulgur, pearl barley, and steel-cut oatmeal. You may be missing out on a culinary experience by passing these nutritious food up! Some people will actually eat the skin right along with the mango because they are  a very rich antioxidant and they are high in fiber.

Beware of some fiber sources such as over the counter fiber products, as these contain high amounts of sugar. Your best course is to get your hands on some Psyllium Husk and drink lots of water with it for best results.

5. Perform a colon cleanse. I just can’t say enough about how this has helped me. The impacted fecal matter inside our bodies is a problem so many of us ignore. It contributes to most of our digestive troubles. Doing regular colon cleanses will promote total body health and make you feel better and will go a long way to keep your system gently ‘on the move’ with regularity!
