When you head out to buy that plant see if you can get one that is either three years old or more. Because you won’t be able to harvest any of the leaves for tea until it is three years old. Sandy soil will be the best way to grow the tea plant, and you may need to add occasional fertilizer to the plant too. In order to make green tea you need to harvest the youngest leaves and buds off your plant.
Once you have them off the plant dry them out in the sun for a few hours. When they are dried you can place them into the oven, keep the temperature at 250 degrees. Leaving them in there for no more than ten minutes, and they will be done.
