Increase Fruits And Vegetables In Your Eating Plan
I take it by now you know you know that a large portion of your daily diet should consist of fruits and vegetables. Although this sounds like an easy thing to do, the majority of us are still finding it difficult. If you’re finding it overwhelming to do this just remember – keep it simple! Take this journey one step, or one bite, at a time. Even if you eat out for every meal you can still find simple ways of replacing junk food with healthy food. A good place to start is replacing your high carb foods like potato’s, rice and pastas with healthy servings of fruits and veg. Posh restaurants and local Mom n’ Pop diners alike, they all have a range of fruits and veg to choose from.
Even if you’re more of a subway person, try this little trick… Order extra veg and meat and replace it for the mayo and cheese. You can ask for extra vinegar and olice oil if you find it too dry without the mayo. Grab some extra fruits instead of ordering cookies or chips.
If you want six pack abs it’s important to eat as much fruit and veg as you can as it helps keep your body fat percentage low, the perfect abdominals work out can be found here.
The fastest way to eat more vegetables and fruits is to start swapping meals daily, instead of that one big meal you used to eat late in the day, try eating a salad and just see how much more fresh you feel in the morning. I used to hate cooking and would always buy a ready made salad from the store round the corner, but now I really enjoy creating my own salads, try getting a basket full of veggies when you next go shopping and see how many different tasting salads you can come up with. Since salads are uncooked foods they have ten fold the amount of useful nutrients for your body than cooked food has. Just one salad a day can give you more goodness than four cooked meals!
You should get into the habit of preparing your meals the night before, it will definitely make it a whole lot easier to just grab your dinner from the fridge instead of making it on the spot. I normally prepare two meals the night before, one fore the next day and another in case I’m in a rush and need a ‘meal to go’. I also recommend you keep lots of fruit in your fridge so you can grab a healthy snack instead of eating chips and biscuits.
The next time you’re at your favourite fast food place try checking what fruits they have available, many big chains have now introduced a healthy eating option to the food selection. Even though the ready made salads at the supermarket aren’t the best, they are always better than non at all, so if your honestly so busy you can find the time to make your own salads you should grab one from there.
